This Naval Architecture business was established in 1992 by IainMacleod. Iain gained his initial shipbuilding experience in the formerBritish Shipbuilders shipyards of Scott Lithgow, Govanand Hall Russel. After graduating as a naval architect, he then went onto lecture in Naval Architecture at Strathclyde University, beforebecoming a Ship Surveyor with Det Norske Veritas, supervising theconstruction of new ships.

Scince Iain comes from a Gaelic seafaringbackground in Kyle of Lochalsh in the North West of Scotland, it wasnatural to locate there, given the nature and speed of today'scommunications.Our location is not a problem, as we regularly travel throughout UnitedKingdom and Ireland, and arewell placed for the North Sea, fishing and fish farming industries.From our modern drawing office in Kyle of Lochalsh we offer acomprehensive ship design service utilising the latest computer andinformation technology tools.
