With our ships Ramona and Rionawe can offer you fully boxed cargo holds, steel floored andstrenghtened for heavy cargoes, and equipped with movable bulkheads.

Thecrews are well-trained and used to navigating in narrow waters. Due tothe low airdrafts and loaded drafts of the ships, we are capable ofserving you in almost any port in Northern Europe.

Education

Our company has experience in producing educational services, invarious nautical sciences, at Åbo Navigationsinstitut (Turku MaritimeInstitute), Yrkeshögskolan Sydväst. These services are offered mostlyat our Shipping Off-season, January-March.

Manuals

In addition to successfully producing various manuals for our ownvessels, we have assisted other companies with as well guidance as thefinished SOLAS-compatible product for their dry cargo coasters. Ourworking language is Swedish, but we are also fluent in both English andFinnish.

Our experience includes ISPS, Training Manuals, ISM, Garbage Plan & Record Book and SOPEP.

History

Ab Ronja Marin was founded in 1999, as a family business. M/v Ronja,which was launched in 1955 as Elizabeth Roorda, was purchased and runas a Master/Owner-vessel. She carried bulk and general cargoes aroundthe Baltic Sea, e.g. sand, stone products, sugar, grain andfertilizers. In 2002, m/v Rebecca was aquired, an event whichdramatically modernized the fleet. The old lady Ronja was laid up, andlater sold to Kenyan interests. In the spring of 2007, Riona wasaquired to meet the demands of the market, and by Christmas the sameyear, Rebecca was sold. A few months later, replacing tonnage had beenfound, which resulted in the purchase of m/v Ramona (ex-Maria H) inApril 2008. M/v Ramona and m/v Riona are now serving our clients in theBaltic and North Sea, with Captain A Isaksson still working partly asMaster/Owner.
