Our Business
I.M. Skaugen is a Marine Transportation Service Company and operatingglobally in two core business segments - the transportation ofpetrochemical gases and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and ship-to-shiptransfer (lightering) of crude oil and LNG. Our customers are largeglobal companies operating in the oil and petro-chemical industriesserved through our global presence with a multicultural team ofprofessionals.

IMS is a fully integrated shipping company that designs, builds, owns, and manages our own ships.

Finally, the Company also undertakes investments in China to developits "Cost and Service leadership strategy" and to develop corecompetence of carrying out business in China with the aim of providingcore business activities in the country in the longer-term. The Groupthus also undertakes industry-leading recruitment and training programsfor seafarers through our training centers in China. These centers arecrucial in order to secure a long-term supply base of well-trainedofficers and crew for our fleet.
