The F. Laeisz Shipping Group is one of the leadingshipping companies in Germany with approximately 1100 crew onboard andabout 150 employees ashore. The fleet of about 50 vessels managed by ushas a size of more than 2.000.000 TDW. The diversified fleet and therange of vessel types is the basis for a solid future of our companyinspite of fluctuations in different markets. Our F. Laeisz ShippingGroup operates Bulk carriers, Reefer vessels, Gas carriers, Ro-Ro/Paxvessels and Research vessels. By intensive training and education thespecialized know-how and experiences in these different markets arecontinuously extended and handed over to younger generations. Qualityand environmental protection standards are very important for us. Ourcompany was audited successfully with the quality management system DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 (since 1996) and the environmental management system DIN EN ISO 14001:2004 (as the first German shipping company in 1997) by the GermanischerLloyd. The “Company’s safety and environmental protection policy anddeclaration on its safety management system (SMS)“ describes theprinciples of our work relating to safety, security, quality and environmental policy. The achieved results regarding environmental care are summarized and assessed regularly in an environmental report. Therefore, it is possible to analyse trends and to take measures for further improvement.
