The forerunner of 2x1 HOLDING CAPE MIDIA SHIPYARD , Marea Neagra Shipyard , first became operational in 1987 under state ownership.In 1999 , the shipyard was fully privatizated , leading to the establishment of 2x1 HOLDING CAPE MIDIA SHIPYARD.
