DSME has two business bases Seoul office and Okpo Shipyard. In SeoulOffice, business related to sales, finance and foreign exchange isconducted. Production-related activities including design, R&D,commercial ships, offshore plants, and specialty vessels. Supportingfunctions such as business administration, HR, accounting, repair,maintenance and procurement are handled in Okpo Shipyard.
OkpoShipyard is located near Okpo Bay, north east of Geoje Island which isthe second largest island in Korea far south east of the KoreanPeninsula. The climate in this area is mild and warm all through theyear, providing the best conditions for shipbuilding, offshore andspecialty vessel projects.
