Teen Trespass

Police arrested three teens on trespassing charges after finding them aboard the historic “Mayflower II” this week.

Officers patrolling the waterfront spotted the two 17-year-old girls and a 16-year-old boy shortly before 10 a.m.

Capt. John Roger said the teens apparently snuck through security fencing to board the ship. Mayflower II is a replica of the ship that carried the Pilgrims to America. It is owned by Plimoth Plantation and berthed at State Pier.

One of the girls climbed back through the fencing and tried to flee after being confronted by officers. The others surrendered after officers nabbed the girl on the pier.

“There was no damage, so they must have been sightseeing,” Rogers said.
