Jinhui delivers 60-m long PSV
On January 7th, a 60-meter long platform supply vessel (PSV) built by Jinhui Shipyard (金辉船厂) was delivered to a Saudi Arabian shipowner successfully.
The ship was classed by ABS and is suitable for unrestricted navigation area.
The L.O.A of the ship reaches 60m, with 16m in breadth, 6m in depth, and 4.3m in designed draft. The cruising speed is around 13.5 knots.
The newbuilding cost totaled USD 12.1m.
Mr Ye Hesheng, who is general manager of Jinhui, said the MV HADI25 was built for a Middle Eastern owner. The ship is capable of towing, fire-fighting and platform-supplying.
It’s even fitted with double-DP (dynamic positioning) system for marine petroleum engineering work
“MV HADI25 is qualified with high-edged technology. Equipped with double-DP system, the ship can receive signals from offshore oil drilling platform anywhere and take action,” said Mr Li Guosong who is vice president of Jinhui.
The annual output value of Jinhui has broken USD 14m target. It is difficult for the shipyard to build large-scale ship due to the limit of coverage area. But in the past few years, the shipyard has improved rapidly in medium- and small-sized ship construction.
So far, Jinhui has inked dozens of orders with Norwegian, Singaporean and Saudi Arabian owners to build PSVs.
At present, another four similar ships are under construction. The largest one among them is for a Malaysian owner. The length stands at 67m.
“Our orderbook has been extended into next year,” said Jinhui president Mr Huang Jinming.
