PD Ports takes a shine to growing steel exports
PD PORTS achieved the milestone ofhandling 2m tonnes of steel slab exports by the start of November 2007 and this year expects to handle around 2.5m tonnes.
£2bn crude oil processing plant nears planning stage
A PROPOSED £2bn ($3.9bn) crude oil processing facility in the Tees Valley would process 200,000 barrels per day of low-value heavy crude oil into high-quality low-sulphur diesel, petrochemical feedstock naphtha and kerosene for use in the UK or for export.

Dawson starts work on rebuilding derelict berth
AV Dawson, the family-owned company which operates the North Sea Supply Base, Dawsons Wharf and the Ayrton International Railhead, has started work on the rebuilding and refurbishment of a derelict berth which will give much-needed additional quayside for its operations.
