"The Role of Engineers"

min_keh-sikHyundai Heavy Industries vice chairman Min Keh-sik, representative technology CEO in South Korean shipbuilding industry, gives a special lecture at Pohang University of

The subject of the lecture will be ‘The Importance of Engineering in South Korea's Economic Growth and the Role of Engineers'.

Dr Min has studied at Seoul National University and University of California Berkeley, and obtained a doctorate at MIT.

He joined Hyundai Heavy Industries in 1990 and he is now the representative director of the company since 2001.

Dr Min, who once worked as an engineer, has so far written some 180 papers to scientific journals home and abroad as well as some 80 technology reports.
