According to local sources, China's Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (DSIC) is going to move its office building and all shipyard facilities in stages over
the next five years from current shipyard site in Dalian to Changxing Industrial Zone.
DSIC said it would cost more than Yuan20bn ($2.92bn) to move its newbuilding and conversion facilities onto a site of 6,000,000m² in the industrial zone.
Investment this year is expected to amount to Yuan2.7bn, starting with moving facilities for building 10,000-teu ships and non-ship sector.
